Joshua Bell is a Los Angeles based director and creative. Born in Minneapolis, educated at Reed College, School for International Training, Northwest Film Center, and University of Southern California, Joshua strives to craft stories that are both soulful and substantive. Infusing his work with mystical themes, Josh captures the essence of real people doing remarkable things, carefully orchestrating their stories into a rhythmic dance of image and sound.

As a director, producer, writer, and creative director, Joshua’s work spans documentary, narrative, long and short form, traditional film-based storytelling, digital publishing, online education, strategic branded content, and commercial advertising.

Joshua’s features and short films have headlined marquee film festivals—Tribeca, Dallas, Austin, Cannes Independent—and garnered significant praise from critics and media outlets such as The New York Times, Huffington Post, The Guardian, etc. He also received an Emmy® Award nomination for his audio work on a film called Visioneer.

As of 2019, Joshua’s directorial work across digital platforms has accrued over 350 million views, helped launched Facebook Watch and Snapchat Originals, broken numerous engagement metrics, and helped Uproxx win Digital Publisher of the Year.

His work can currently be viewed on terrestrial and streaming platforms including HBO, ESPN, Hulu, Amazon, PBS, and Red Bull TV.
